Lockdown 2020 – Essay/Blog competition

Following discussions at the regular Town Hall meetings that have been taking place every Friday throughout the lockdown period, current GLOCAL students and alumni were invited to write an essay (max. 2000 words) or blog (max. 800 words) about the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the glocalized world.

Although it was called a competition, the intention behind it was to foster collaboration, with the aims of making the GLOCAL community stronger in these difficult times and using the creative power and insight of our students.

The essay winner was Lina Ruiz of the 3rd cohort and the blog winner was Davi Lemos of the 2nd cohort. You can read their winning entries below.

These are by definition the personal reflections of current GLOCAL students.  They do not reflect the views of the consortium, the constituent universities, or any individual academic.
Lina Ruiz – How is the COVID-19 crisis impacting Colombia?
Davi Lemos – Learn with the Queers: ‘Historical Resilience’, Lesson 1
