The GLOCAL External Advisory Board meets several times per year and exists to advise the GLOCAL Consortium on matters relating to the leadership, management and delivery of the programme. This includes opportunities around employability, placements and internships. The EAB also seeks to support the programme’s overall engagement with non-academic partners and other relevant stakeholders. You can see current members of the Advisory Board below.
Oriol Estela
General Coordinator at Metropolitan Strategic Plan Barcelona
Oriol Estela Barnet has been a local economic development professional since 1995, first in private consulting and later at Barcelona Provincial Council. He is currently the general coordinator of the Barcelona Metropolitan Strategic Plan (PEMB) and technical coordinator of the Barcelona-UPF Chair of Local Economic Policy.


Christina Kopanou
GLOCAL Alumna and Economic Analyst at Glasgow City Region
Christina Kopanou joined the Intelligence Hub in 2020 and holds the role of economic and policy analyst. Christina is trained as an economist and economic historian and is passionate about the use of interdisciplinary approaches to economic development. Projects that Christina has worked on include; the Regional Socio-economic Baseline, the Foundational Economy in Glasgow City Region, the Cost of Living Crisis, the Regional Economic Strategy and the Sectoral Relatedness Analysis.
Christina Lubinski
Professor of Entrepreneurship at Copenhagen Business School
Christina Lubinski is professor at the Department of Business Humanities and Law at Copenhagen Business School. Her research and teaching focuses on entrepreneurship in national and global contexts. A historian by training, she uses historical reasoning to study early-stage startups, family businesses, entrepreneurial processes and organizations over time. She is a member of the Centre for Business History and the Centre for Organizational Time. Since 2023, she is academic director of the unit Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Leadership.


Sonnet Stanfill
Senior Curator (Textiles & Fashion) at Victoria and Albert Museum, London
Sonnet Stanfill is dedicated to presenting the power and impact of textiles and fashion to the widest possible audience through exhibitions, publications (in print and on-line) and lectures. As Senior Curator within the Victoria and Albert Museum’s (V&A) Textiles and Fashion section she has honed her experience as a collaborative and diplomatic leader. Stanfill’s visitor-focussed approach to public programming has contributed to the V&A’s transformation into an international art and design destination, known for its innovative, rigorous and popular fashion exhibitions. Stanfill has grown and strengthened the permanent collection of modern fashion through the acquisition of the work of leading designers, from Alexander McQueen to Yohji Yamamoto.
Ulf Stenerhag
Founder and CEO of WAYOUT Water Systems, Stockholm
Ulf Stenerhag is the CEO, Founder, and Partner at Wayout International and a Director of Business Development at Thurne Teknik AB. He previously worked as the CEO at Not For Sale Ale AB and Composer and Producer at Stenerhag. Ulf attended Stockholm School of Economics and KTH Royal Institute of Technology. WAYOUT offers complete water production systems for local coverage of perfect drinking water on a commercial platform with minimal eco footprint.


Dieter Landenberger
Director Heritage, Volkswagen Group, Wolfsburg, Germany
Dieter Landenberger joined Volkswagen in 2017 to head its historical communications department. He oversees heritage communication and the corporate archives within the Volkswagen group.
