The GLOCAL Consortium partners are currently meeting in Barcelona (21-22 March 2019) for the final deliberations over the applications for the Erasmus Mundus Scholarships for entry in 2019.

There will also be a staff-student liaison meeting with the 2018 cohort.

Levels of interest in GLOCAL are reflected in the fact that numbers of applications have increased year on year. This year we’ve received a total of 976 applications – the highest number yet.

The selection committee assesses each scholarship application according to the following criteria:

Academic merit (e.g. relevance and level of academic qualifications) – 30%

Supporting personal statement – 40%

Quality of (academic) references – 10%

Other (e.g. relevant research/professional experiences/interests) – 20%

All applicants will receive an email about the outcome of their application by April 3rd at the latest. PLEASE NOTE: Candidates who do not secure a scholarship and who wish to appeal the decision of the scholarship selection committee must do so in writing by email within 2 weeks (14 days) from the point of notification by the GLOCAL Consortium of their failure to win a scholarship.

Good luck to everyone who applied!
